For skin suppleness, inflammation & tissue repair, this is a great product for all skin types! And it supports healthy aging. Just a dime sized amount (or less!) will do the trick!
When applied to the surface of the skin, hyaluronic acid can reduce wrinkles, redness and dermatitis. You may think of "acid" as something drying, or exfoliating, but hyaluronic acid is very gentle, so gentle that it's actually in supplements to be taken internally. While collagen and elastin are the main proteins that provide structural support for our skin, hyaluronic acid is like a gel-cushion that holds in moisture. This naturally occurring polysaccharide has the ability to absorb up to 1,000 times its weight in water, and when applied topically it can help skin hold in moisture and feel more supple. It binds moisture into the skin for ultimate hydration. Hyaluronic acid may help wounds heal faster by regulating inflammation level and signaling the body to build more blood vessels in the damaged area. Hyaluronic acid also has antibacterial properties.
Rose essential oil is a popular ingredient in skin care -- and with good reason! This essential oil may be used on all skin types but is especially beneficial for dry, sensitive, and mature skin. Containing a complex array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, rose essential oil has excellent emollient properties for moisturizing dry skin; it also offers antiseptic and astringent properties to treat problem skin, as well as anti-inflammatory properties that help treat redness and inflammation. Rose oil can also help refine skin texture and is often referred to as a cell regenerative.
Frankincense essential oil benefits include it's ability to strengthen skin and improve its tone and elasticity. It can serve as a defense mechanism against bacteria or blemishes, and supports healthy aging. It may help tone and lift skin, reduce the appearance of scars and acne, and heals wounds. According to a review published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, frankincense oil reduces redness and skin irritation, while also producing a more even skin tone. Studies suggest that it’s the pentacyclic triterpene (steroid-like) structure of frankincense oil that contributes to its soothing effect on irritated skin.
Did you know (fun fact!)? It takes tens of thousands of rose blossoms, picked as they are unfolding in the early hours of dawn, to yield 1 ounce of rose essential oil. That makes rose oil one of the most expensive essential oils; it's so concentrated, however, that only a few drops are necessary to reap the benefits. So you may think this product is expensive, but the rose essential oil is to "blame"!
Along with the H.A. Facial Serum, I use Villa Lake Naturals (VLN) Rosehip Caffeine Eye Serum with Rose Essential Oil (see "You May Also Like" below for links) around and under my eyes. I allow both to dry and follow with VLN Facial Serum at night and VLN Facial Moisturizer Lotion in the morning. I use VLN Facial Moisturizing Cream rather than VLHW Facial Serum or Lotion if my skin is very dry or has been exposed to the elements and is “weather beaten”. My skin type is normal with occasional breakouts in my chin area. Please let me know your skin type and I will share the appropriate products with you. I can even tweak them with different oils to benefit your specific needs.
Tip: You can also apply HA Serum to your neck and chest. This product has not been evaluated by the FDA. This product and the information provided do not intend to prevent, diagnose, treat or cure any disease or condition,
